Help Prevent Invasive Insect Infestations: Don't Move Firewood!

Firewood may contain non-native insects and plant disease.  Bringing firewood into New Hampshire from other areas can accidentally spread damaging insects and diseases that will threaten the health of our forests.  Once infestation occurs, control of these pests involves drastic measures, include in the complete removal of all tress (infested or otherwise) in the affected and surrounding areas.  Don’t assume wood is safe just because you don’t see adult insects. Please do not bring any firewood onto Gunstock property unless you are certain that it has been harvested locally.
