The Wetlands Walk boardwalk area at Gunstock is in need of some attention. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, August 17, 9 a.m. to noon. Tasks include removing leaves from around wood posts, and moss and lichen from the boardwalk surface, trimming branches, minor carpentry work, sanding, priming and painting, and removing invasive weeds. Also, removing tree branches and fencing from the top of the beaver dam and stream where waders or hip boots are needed. Belknap County Conservation District has two pollinator gardens that need weeding as well. Volunteers can help for an hour or for the the entire time. Snacks and beverages provided. Volunteers Under 18 must have a responsible adult with them. Community Service Certificates are available.
